Environmental Benefits Of Mushrooms
One pound of mushrooms only takes 6.8L of water to grow
One pound requires about 1.0 KWH to grow
One acre can produce roughly one million pounds of mushrooms!
The left-over material once the mushrooms have been grown can be used in gardens as a great addition to the soil.
The Wormery
Keeping green waste out of landfills helps to reduce your emissions as well as give you nutrients to add to your soil in your garden!
This can be taken a step further by adding worms to the mix. Watch the video to learn more about worms at The Wormery or take the E-Bit Course by Lambton College!
